Chinese Cars in Europe: Brands, Prices and Import
Chinese cars reach Europe in two ways: a few brands such as BYD or MG sell officially through dealer networks — many others, including Xiaomi, Zeekr, Jetour, Avatr and Maextro, are only available via import. As an independent importer we currently deliver more than 20 models from 9 brands with EU individual approval, European registration documents and warranty — from 20,920 € including delivery, customs and registration.

Official sales vs. import: how it works in Europe
Only a small share of Chinese manufacturers sell officially in Europe — and even those offer just a slice of their model range here. The most interesting models of many brands, such as Xiaomi's SU7, Zeekr's 9X or BYD's Ocean-series plug-in hybrids, are not officially available in Europe at all.
That is the gap we fill: as an independent importer we source any vehicle sold in China, take it through EU individual approval and deliver it ready to drive with European documents and our importer warranty — including models not listed on our website, on request.
How the import works
You configure or order the car, we handle the rest: purchase in China, sea freight, customs, technical inspection, EU individual approval and registration. You receive the car ready to drive with European documents — backed by our importer warranty including service and parts supply.
Frequently asked questions about Chinese cars in Europe
Which Chinese car brands can you buy in Europe?
Officially through dealers, only a few — such as BYD or MG. Via import, practically all of them: we currently deliver models from BYD, Jetour, Li Auto, Zeekr, Xiaomi, SAIC, Audi (China models), Avatr and Maextro — and source any other vehicle sold in China on request.
How much does a Chinese car cost in Europe?
With us it starts at 20,920 € for the BYD Seal 05 DM-i — delivered, customs-cleared and registered. Electric sedans like the Xiaomi SU7 start around €57,000; the Maextro S800 luxury flagship sits above €125,000. The table above shows all prices, live from our configurators.
Are imported Chinese cars road-legal and safe in Europe?
Yes. Every car we deliver goes through EU individual vehicle approval with a technical inspection and receives regular European registration documents. Modern Chinese models meet EU requirements and regularly perform well in international crash tests.
How long does importing from China take?
From order to handover typically takes several weeks to a few months depending on model and availability — sea freight, customs and registration included. You can follow the status transparently throughout the process.
What about warranty and spare parts?
The Chinese manufacturer warranty does not apply in Europe — which is why we provide our importer warranty on every delivered vehicle and handle service and parts sourcing.
Electric, hybrid or petrol — what comes out of China?
Both at scale: pure EVs such as the Xiaomi SU7, Zeekr line-up or Avatr 12 — and plug-in hybrids with no charging obligation such as the Jetour T2 i-DM or BYD's DM-i models. Range-extender cars like the Li Auto L6 combine both worlds.
Auto China is an independent vehicle importer and is not affiliated with any of the manufacturers mentioned. Brand names are used solely to identify the vehicles concerned.
