Range and charging: CLTC is not WLTP

China's CLTC cycle usually reads higher than the European WLTP figure, so never compare the two directly. For the KUBIK7 the WLTP figure applies: 240 km combined and 209 km on the city cycle.

The KUBIK7 uses 23.6 kWh/100 km on WLTP from a 50.38 kWh battery. Expect less range in winter or at full load. DC charging over CCS from 20 to 80 % takes about 45 minutes; AC charging runs at up to 6.6 kW.

On energy cost the electric van clearly wins: about €0.06/km on commercial power against about €0.18/km on diesel (October 2026 prices). The calculator on the vehicle page works it out with your own figures.

Warranty: what fleets should check

The number of years alone is not enough. Check these points before you buy:

  • Period and distance limit, separately for vehicle and battery. Whichever comes first usually applies.
  • The remaining capacity at which the battery counts as a warranty claim.
  • Whether commercial use and high mileage are expressly covered.
  • Who the warrantor is, where the workshops are and how fast parts arrive.

The KUBIK7 has 3 years or 60,000 km on vehicle, drive and high-voltage components, and 5 years or 120,000 km on the battery. The warrantor is Auto China GmbH. Some rivals offer longer periods, so weigh the KUBIK7 price advantage against the warranty.

Tax in Germany: 75 % write-off and vehicle tax

For new electric vehicles held as business assets and acquired from July 2025 to December 2027, German § 7 (2a) EStG allows declining depreciation: 75 % in year one, then 10, 5, 5, 3 and 2 %. It cannot be combined with a special depreciation allowance. Have your tax adviser confirm how it applies to your vehicle.

Battery-electric vehicles first registered up to 2030 are exempt from German vehicle tax, until 31 December 2035 at the latest.
