Fleet warranty terms

1. Scope

This warranty applies to AUTO CHINA VAN™ KUBIK7™ vehicles delivered by Auto China GmbH or an authorised partner to business customers within the meaning of § 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB). It applies to operation in the European Union, the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The warrantor is Auto China GmbH. The warranty sits alongside the statutory rights against the seller and does not limit them.

2. Periods

Periods run from handover to the first customer; whichever limit is reached first applies.

• Vehicle: 36 months or 100,000 km.
• High-voltage battery: 72 months or 150,000 km. A claim is a material or workmanship defect, or usable capacity falling below 70 % of the new value (SOH) as measured with the Auto China diagnostic system.
• Drive and high-voltage components (motor, inverter, on-board charger, DC/DC converter): 36 months or 100,000 km.
• Paint: 36 months against material and workmanship defects; perforation from the inside: 72 months.

3. Cover

The warranty covers material and workmanship defects in standard parts. Auto China decides whether a part is repaired or replaced. Parts and labour at an authorised partner are free of charge to the customer. Replaced parts become the property of Auto China.

If the vehicle is immobilised by a warranty defect, Auto China covers transport to the nearest authorised partner.

4. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

• Wear parts and fluids: tyres, brake pads and discs, wiper blades, filters, the 12 V battery, bulbs, coolant and brake fluid.
• Damage from accidents, stone chips, weather, road salt, vandalism or force majeure.
• Overloading beyond 1,200 kg payload or 3,060 kg gross vehicle weight; towing – no trailer load is approved for the KUBIK7.
• Unapproved conversions or attachments (racking, refrigeration bodies, roof racks, third-party software) and the damage they cause.
• Charging on non-compliant infrastructure, and deep discharge from parking below 10 % state of charge for more than 30 days.
• Missed or undocumented maintenance (section 5).
• Indirect losses such as downtime, lost profit or replacement-vehicle costs, to the extent permitted by law.

5. Fleet operator duties

• Maintenance every 12 months or 20,000 km at an authorised partner, recorded in the digital service book.
• Follow the owner’s manual and charging guidance; park the vehicle at 30–60 % state of charge for longer standstills.
• Report defects without delay and within 14 days of discovery; stop using the vehicle if further damage is likely.
• Allow Auto China software updates to be installed.

6. Handling a claim

Claims are reported through the fleet contact or the customer portal with VIN, mileage, description and photos. An authorised partner diagnoses the fault and Auto China authorises the repair. Parts ship from the Auto China parts store in Germany.

Warranty work does not extend the warranty period; replaced parts carry the remaining term of the vehicle.

7. Fleet specifics

• The warranty is tied to the vehicle and passes to the buyer on resale within the term; Auto China must be notified of the sale.
• Multi-vehicle fleets get a named contact and bundled service appointments.
• A high-mileage extension (vehicle warranty up to 150,000 km) can be agreed at order for a surcharge.
• Mileage counts per vehicle and is not pooled across the fleet.

8. Law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For merchants the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Auto China GmbH. Should a provision be invalid, the remainder of the warranty stays in force.
